I only gave these connectors 1 star because I couldn't give them 0 stars. Out of the box, these connectors look good. All brass as advertised and the workmanship looked great, however they will not fit other M or D style couplings. These plugs seal differently and poorly than US made plugs. These connectors seal on the end of the plug, while US connectors seal on the outside diameter of the plug. I checked it and they work together. In other words, the plug actually fit into the female connector in the packaging that just arrived. I didn't check for leaks as I knew I would be returning them and didn't want to use pipe threads. This illustrates one of the main issues I have with Revain. I carefully research the product I want to buy and won't push a button unless I'm sure it's right for me. They're probably made in China and should be similar to those in the US, but they're not the same or interchangeable. They are not marked on any part of the plug or socket. The quality just isn't right. For example, the machined hex flats used to tighten the ferrule on a tube fitting are not as wide. With soft brass, this means you're more likely to round off the corners of the hex nut. These plugs do not connect as easily as US plugs; They require a lot more force to connect the plug to the socket than my others. I would find it helpful if the country of manufacture was clearly stated in normal font size on the product home page. It would also be helpful if the provider could be identified by name and location. In any case, I have to source any clutches I need elsewhere to be sure I'm getting a reliable clutch of acceptable quality.
