Product has adequate lighting but requires a rotary switch to achieve full brightness. To turn it off, you have to turn the knob all the way. The blocks have slots on the back for use with mounting screws, but mounting horizontally over a surface that needs to be illuminated is very difficult. Also, the screw heads must be small enough to fit into the back of the device's slots. Using the mounting strap (included) is a joke. If it contains batteries, the weight will eventually overcome the handle and the device will fall. Maybe it would hold up better if it was on a smooth metal surface.
