Review on Viatti Bosco AT V-237 215/65 R16 98H summer by Adam Koodziejek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints, I recommend to buy.

A good budget tire for an SUV if you like to sometimes move off the asphalt into the dirt, if suddenly your city is covered with snow in late spring, or if the roads in your city leave much to be desired. Buzzing. Strongly. Especially in frost. It is not worth using it below -10º - despite a good pattern, the rubber becomes slippery. The tread and sidewall are hard and tan in the cold. But the same rigidity has a good effect on handling - the tire holds the sidewall under side load on bends, on the survival of rubber when driving on gravel and branches or rubbing against the curb. After installation on the car in exchange for the dead highway tires, the clearance increased. Most likely because of the same hard sidewalls. Consumption has increased from 13 to about 14.5 liters - the rubber is heavier, the more pronounced tread pattern causes more rolling resistance. The tire is well experienced driving on yard potholes, but again it says stiffness - it shakes noticeably. A move on the speed bump can and throw. Driving on the crossroads has become easier compared to the highway. It has become not so scary to drown in dirty mud with a wheel - even with a clogged tread, it rows confidently, but, of course, handling suffers. He confidently overcame a 20 cm mud track, but again - the tread gets clogged and the car stops steering, strives to climb onto the track. Here, of course, everything is decided by the driver and the work of the steering wheel and gas. For a full-fledged frame, such rubber is insufficient, for a monodrive it is redundant. Her native niche remains - crossovers with full, asymmetric or plug-in drive.

Pros
  • Price, patency, handling, durability.
Cons
  • Noise, gas mileage, harshness. The protector picks up dirt and pebbles and willingly throws them at other cars.
