Review on ๐Ÿšช Dorman 747-311 Passenger Side Sliding Door Motor Harness: Ideal for Chrysler / Dodge Models by Paul Walters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to install and works like a charm. Great price too.

Dorman designed this harness better than Mopar in my opinion. The wires appear to be sturdier and a bit longer so as not to strain when opening/closing the doors. We spent hours trying to figure out why our door no longer opens/closes with the remote control or internal buttons. The local dealer or mechanic couldn't figure out what was wrong with our door other than the motor being able to lift. It seemed wrong to me because when the doors are opened or one of the buttons is pressed, the turn signals on the side of the car in the door that is being opened will flash. After reading countless reviews on tech sites and forums. I was sure it must be the wiring harness. We bought ours from Revain - it took me less than 45 minutes to remove the old wiring harness and install the new one. Other reviews speak of bad clips or ties. I found these clips and ties easy to install. And I personally think they will work better than the factory clips because the wires fit the door perfectly. The only downside to this product is that there are no instructions included. It's pretty easy to install, just follow the wires. You only need a Phillips (x) screwdriver to loosen the two screws on the geared motor at the bottom of the door. Be sure to remove any clips attached to the belt to be removed (a new belt will be supplied with these replacement parts). The plastic on the A-frame (or beam) between the sliding door and the front door (where the seat belt and knob are) pulls straight out as it's held in place by metal clips. The rest should be clear. Anyway, I hope this helps those of you playing What Now. Much luck!
