Despite some bad reviews, it's obvious that many people lack the common sense to use a charger. He does what he claims. If your battery is completely dead and this charger doesn't recognize it, just plug in a regular old fashioned charger and let it charge for a bit, then upgrade this charger and it will recognize it and work just fine. For people who complain about poor instructions, it's a basic charger with a 120-volt plug that fits into a standard household outlet, a red and black clip that connects to the battery, and a simple push-button switch to turn to choose between the battery types.
