Excellent color, lamp life and portability. Not an ideal home theater projector.

Photos with beverage can for scale. Excellent color, lamp life and portability. Not an ideal home theater projector. TLDR: Less and better color than any other projector I own for daylight use. I don't recommend the projector as a home theater unless it will be used in a partially lit room, there are better options for dark rooms. The included TV box makes it easy to use without a computer. The sound is normal for this size. Able to connect to a bluetooth speaker, sometimes there is a delay between picture and sound via bluetooth. The color is really amazing. There is no suitcase included. By laser it is meant that the light source is a laser and not a lamp. 3LCD display. This will last much longer and be stronger. The lamp life is specified as 120,000 hours, which is much longer than a conventional lamp. I have a lot of experience with projectors because as a teacher I often have to bring my own to work on the setup. So I've been carrying projectors with me for quite some time. This one weighs around 2700g, making it quite portable. It is only 10 cm (4 inches) high and 21 cm (8.3 inches) wide. But it does NOT come with a bag, so you'll need one if you plan on carrying it around a lot. At this price it should have had a case, even just a soft case, but I would have preferred a hard version. The rear has HDMI 2.0, USB Type-A, and mini-USB ports, as well as a headphone jack (can also be used for wired speakers). It only has one HDMI input, which is a bit annoying. No optical zoom. No keystone correction. Setup was easy. You need to pair the remote control for the first time. There is a second remote control for the streaming dongle, but you only need it if you are using the streaming dongle on another device. The light output is powerful enough that Powerpoint presentations can be viewed with a projector 20 feet from the screen (which is as far back as I can get in a room in daylight. The room is bright enough for students to view their Can easily see and do work Annotations (and I can see the students!) The school has 1500 lumen projectors which I rarely use because the lights have to be turned off completely for the students to see the projections and this causes problems leads a source) and it makes a big difference in visibility in a partially lit room. The sound output is normal for a room of around 20 people or more, and you'll need to hook it up to some speakers to get loud enough. And don't expect sound to be good enough for a cinematic experience, the built-in speakers are only y enough to hear and don't have "surround sound". If you're under it, connect it to Bluetooth, sometimes there's a split-second delay too. A good choice as a portable projector for use in rooms with daylight or partial daylight. The fan is also quiet. But I wouldn't recommend it for home theater use for the following reasons. It has a striking screen-door effect (where the image has little black squares around each pixel, making it look like you're looking through a screen-door). which is much more noticeable in the dark. If you're within 3 feet of the screen, it's obvious. Black color is not so good on a white screen, it is closer to gray. It's not as smooth as a DLP (Digital Light Processing) projector, which has a better response time. The native resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels (better than 720p HD) is surprisingly low for $900. Projectors are the answer to the desire for a film-like experience without a large TV. They're great for dorm rooms because they're easy to store and carry, and they're less fragile than a TV. It would be good for this purpose as it is small and more durable and it is usually not possible to completely darken a room. If you want to watch movies in the dark choose something else, there are DLP projectors in this price range that will suit your needs better.
