Manufactured to last 30,000km / 2 years Reusable, like any filter, they are built for it.

Bought a second one today. The first was for VW, this time for Audi. I preferred the $10 Pentius to the $10 Ecoguard for no real reason other than that the first Pentius I bought actually seemed to be the same quality as the OEM. I think you can't go wrong with such a high-tech filter. They are designed to last 30,000km / 2 years to keep up with those drain intervals and will not fall apart or anything. In fact, I reuse them when doing shorter intervals. This is a common practice in the industry, for example at Honda: 10,000 for oil, 20,000 for a filter. It is not necessary to remove and drain it. Therefore, the ideal interval for many people is 6 months. Then drain and refill the oil, leaving the filter in place according to the 1 year plan. Trust me, the new EFI engines run cleaner and the filters do NOT get clogged with debris. Either cut open the used filter and inspect it, or just inspect the cartridge filter when it comes out. I service several cars with cartridge filters and inspect them thoroughly. Imagine nothing significant being loaded onto paper. Nothing. Filters made in Germany or Europe are fine, but hello, now Audi is built in China. Do you think their filters will explode? This Pentius is so strong that you can hit it with a hammer and it won't wrinkle. Why spend another $6 when you can spend it on fancy oil?
