For the homeowner, air conditioning is ideal. Not the best for a contractor

Honestly I bought this set and the yellow jacket. I paid almost triple that for the same gear in the Yellow Jacket. Now that we are adding AC services to our electrical contracting business I will be using it as a field worker. For this reason I am sending it back to keep the best quality but much more expensive units. The sensors work here, but the temperature numbers for each refrigerant are too difficult to see. The one I tried was about 5 pounds. I know there is an adjustment screw but it doesn't hold zero. I matched that with three friends' sensors. Now again for the homeowner, this shouldn't be a problem. But trying to figure out true overheating and hypothermia is a challenge when the sensors are constantly so far away. If we charge someone's compressor with too much refrigerant, we have to replace it. I also think it would be great for lower pressures 134A or r22 but hard to see. It is best to check the temperature and pressure chart to correct for the refrigerant and use the psi readings as they are easy to see. As for the vacuum pump and pouch, well after trying the gauges I decided to return them. So it didn't open. A friend of mine who only deals in home appliances and automotive coolant loves this kit. He has been using this pump in the field for over a year with no problems. Adapters for mini splits are scrap. They take too long to close the seal before the refrigerant squirts all over the place. A sight glass in the manifold is also useful and is not available on the more expensive manifold I chose. Not really on branded items in this price range. So good bang for your buck there. DYI homeowner guys would love to have this feature so he or she can see the movement of the refrigerant and know what's going on.
