Bought to upgrade an old (2009 or so) Dell Optiplex with an Intel Core Duo processor. Installed 4 GB RAM and two free slots. I used Crucial's memory scanner on my computer and it showed open slots and said I could upgrade to 16GB. I bought and installed two 4GB flash drives. No improvement. After a lot of research, it turned out that my version of Windows only supported 4GB of RAM, so this setup did NOTHING to improve my computer's slow performance. I ended up returning them and buying a new computer. Too bad the Crucial scanner didn't know that. I love Crucial and will continue to use them, but they've given up.
