I will continue to buy these sponges as they are much better for the environment than regular plastic/rubber sponges which you have to replace frequently as they wear out and start to deteriorate smell or get dirty. very rude. It works well and after a month or two it can start to crack or get dirty then we throw it away but at least it's mostly wood. I don't know why they even have that little plastic ring because it would be nice if they got rid of it. too, but they also look way better than a colorful dirty sponge. We found a little kit that had a bowl that you put the soap in and then you just leave it there and dip it in the soap as you wash. So overall the unit is nice and will be replaced every month or two if needed.
