Replaced a fluorescent light assembly in a bookshelf. Lamplights of America. Recorded on YouTube how to bypass the ballast. All I've found is for 4ft double lights. I looked at the label on the lamp and connected 1 pin to each end. Checked. I had a lamp socket without a shunt. It took me 45 minutes to modify and test the first lamp. For the other 3 lamps I needed about 10 minutes each. Bright light and no ballast noise. I liked the ability to rotate the lamp's position for better lighting. Scattering. Too bad they didn't include 24" and 36" lamps for the kitchen.
