Description of ๐Ÿ’ก Rotatable 12V 18-Inch 5500K Fluorescent Automotive LEDs

Attention:Must bypass ballast and rewire your fixture before you insert the led tubes.Wire positive one end and negative to the other end. Rotated end caps, you can adjust the end caps to make this led bulb lit correct direction. 5500K daylight white color and frost lens bring you a comfortable and soft light.3-year warranty,Each bulb well packed with foams,no worry about the damage during shipping. These 18" led tube light give off great bright light and it was very easy to convert the old light fixture to use the new LED bulbs ,The removal of ballast and rewiring for the installation was very simple. This bulb replaces the common 17.75" (450mm) T8(2/3" in diameter) style bulbs used in 12V and 24V DC fixtures in boats, campers, and RVs. NOTE: This LED tube is ONLY for 12VDC or 24VDC applications.Widely use for motor home, aquarium lights, vintage dazor floating desk lamp. Brighter than the standard bulb and throws down about 40% more light. The color of this light was not the crazy bluish light some leds can be. Very natural type light. Another nice feature this bulb includes the ability to rotate to be able to avoid light directly in your eyes. This is important to some if your vent hood is mounted higher as ours is and what a nice feature.

Quality LED, well packaged

I have ordered over 200 of these LED tubes and they have all worked flawlessly with stable brightness and colour. There was enough packaging for each bulb and all bulbs were intact except for one order when the USPS crushed one of the boxes and damaged part of the bulb. The replacement box was sent with no problems. The only issue I had was that the warning stickers were in the box, it would be nice if they were in a bag because they fall all over the place.

Pros
  • This lamp replaces the traditional 17.75" (450mm) (2/3" diameter) T8 lamps used in 12V and 24V DC lights on boats, RVs and RVs are used. A NOTICE. This LED tube is ONLY suitable for 12 VDC or 24 VDC applications. Widely used for RV, aquarium lighting, vintage dazor floating table lamp.
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than others

Must bypass the ballast.

Replaced a fluorescent light assembly in a bookshelf. Lamplights of America. Recorded on YouTube how to bypass the ballast. All I've found is for 4ft double lights. I looked at the label on the lamp and connected 1 pin to each end. Checked. I had a lamp socket without a shunt. It took me 45 minutes to modify and test the first lamp. For the other 3 lamps I needed about 10 minutes each. Bright light and no ballast noise. I liked the ability to rotate the lamp's position for better lightingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • These 18" LED tubes produce a very bright light and it was very easy to convert the old fixture to use the new LED bulbs. Ballast removal and rewiring for installation was very easy.
Cons
  • Not bad, but..

Quality control could be better but it works as advertised.

The first thing that happened when I pulled the protective plastic cap off the pins on one end was that it pulled the plastic end off the bulb. The wire was apparently long enough for me to put it back into the bulb and snap the end in place with no problem. However, they broke up again. And collected again. Having said that, I consider this to be a fairly high quality product as I am an electrician. Because of this, I didn't pay much attention to the instructions. My first attempt tripped theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Brighter than a standard bulb and emits approximately 40% more light. The color of this light wasn't the crazy bluish light that some LEDs can have. The light is very natural. Another nice feature of this lamp is the ability to rotate so the light doesn't hit your eyes directly. This is important to some if your hood is mounted higher than ours and what a nice feature.

  • Doubtful

Some modifications, works as advertised.

Good light effectively is the advantage of these LEDs. As a van technician, lighting replacements/upgrades are common and usually done very quickly (simple 12v wiring and a few screws). The lights I bought them for to replace fluorescent tubes need modification so be prepared. The ballast on my lights gets very hot and needs to be bypassed. The original lamp covers do not fit the new headlights. Additional modifications are required to use the original covers. Costs money? It depends on how you

Pros
  • 5500K daylight white color and frosted lens provide comfortable and soft light. Guarantee 3 years. Each bulb is well packed with foam, don't worry about damage in transit
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
