Assembly was easy - wheels and support ring are already assembled. Requires no assembly tools. All I had to do was slide the pneumatic gas spring (already attached to the seat) into place. I prefer this stool for its versatility - it's armless and fits anywhere. Seat height varies from 19 to 25 inches: great as a stool for office tasks/drawings or even as a bar stool in the kitchen. Light and functional but strong enough for my weight. I alternate standing, this stool, and an armchair to prevent back stiffness - I spend a lot of time at my desk. Oh, and it's pretty stable on bare wood floors without a chair mat. The delivery was very fast and the product arrived well packaged. Perfect for my needs.
