I bought this as a Christmas present for my mum who has occasionally used it as an extra heat source in the living room. It worked great for the first two months and provided decent heat dissipation for a device of this size, but one day when she turned it on it sounded like a single engine airplane taking off in the living room. The back panel says there are no serviceable parts, but I wanted to remove the heater and fan assembly from the console hoping it was just a loose screw or bolt that was causing the vibration. That's when I realized how cheaply it was made and realized that the fan motor was noisy and not worth the cost of replacing it. Even if this heater was used several hours a day every day, I wouldn't expect the fan motor to fail after just two months. Instead, it broke after two months of only occasional use. In short, it's a cheap piece of junk and I wouldn't recommend anyone spending their money on it.
