Review on Necoichi Portable Ultra Light Carrier by George Kapoor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

amazingly durable

I bought these for very short trips or emergency transport but it has become my number one tote bag. All three kittens, ranging in weight from 8 to 16 pounds, tolerate this carrier well and without fuss. This is a huge improvement over hard-shell carriers, where a squeaky, reluctant ten-legged cat with Freddy Krueger claws is pushed through a small opening and then the cage is slammed shut before any part of the cat escapes. Instead, I take a calm cat, sit the cat. Lie down on the pillow, close the back while stroking the calm kitten, then close the front. Kitty is safe and I'm not bleeding or short of breath. The ground is soft and doesn't stay hard under any of my crampons. It's good for fast runs, but ground support is important for your furry companion's comfort. What really sets this carrier apart is how calmly all three kittens stay inside, so your experience may vary. I work with older, medium weight cats. A kitty or a determined runaway might need something more permanent. Watch out for fur or whip tails when zipping, zips hurt. There isn't a lot of room so a very long or large cat might feel cramped, but my big boy seems to prefer a snug fit.
