I was initially hesitant about the product, workmanship and reviews because I have really very straight hair that can't hold a single curl at all without using 20 products. So I just searched and researched how to get curls without spending so much product and time with a curling iron. I found them and decided to try them and so far I'm very impressed. So I will share my process and opinions with photos and steps. Photo #1: As you can see, my hair is super straight. My hair is about 21-23 inches long, and due to the way I part it, some sections are longer than others, and I actually have a lot of hair (not thick hair, just a lot of hair). Photo #2: I used these products on my hair to see if letting them air dry would help hold and shape curls. So I washed my hair, towel dried it, then sprayed it vigorously, added curl cream to the roots and tried using a texturizing hair cream on the rest of my hair, but the product was too thick for me. So I just sprayed more and added more of the other cream. I'm not sure I should use that, so don't take my word for it. Use the products that suit you. Photo #3 and #4: At this point I realized I had bought the wrong length. I thought 50cm would be enough but it's not like you see it sticking out at the end. In the end I just pushed it down so my ends wouldn't stick out so much. So I will definitely return it and get a longer length (65cm) and do another upgrade. Photo #5, #6 & #7: It was difficult to run and try to connect and all, but once I figured it out it passed quickly and I was able to fit it in about 30 minutes. I used about 24 out of 28 curlers with about 1 inch strands, definitely can be thinned down but will try again next time. Then the waiting game begins. I let it air dry for about 5-6 hours (my hair was very damp and again I have a lot of hair). I could definitely sleep in it, but I only tested it for the evening. Photo #8, #9 and #10: results. I am very impressed. I'm glad it works and I'm happy with the results. Extraction Tip: After you take it out, twist and shape it with your finger so it doesn't get too messy or tangled (unless you want to look that way). I could spritz on some hairspray afterwards for extra hold, but again, I'm just experimenting for now and will definitely be experimenting again. Conclusion/observation: Really great product and definitely worth it for no hot curls (you can use a blow dryer to speed up the process if needed). In my opinion, this is much better than the roles. What I'll do differently next time (and I'll post again) is get longer curlers, maybe different products, thinner strands and sleep in them because I prefer my whole head to be curly (and not just the tips) and for curls will be tighter. Since I didn't sleep in it this time and didn't use too many products, I'll update this post with the duration of the curls.
