Sturdy with a great flexible mechanical design to accommodate different angles of bike frame. The traditional straight horizontal bar of male bikes is long gone but most racks are aimed at that style. So wonderful to have the adjustment where the angled bar bikes can hang comfortably onto the hooks and not be crooked on the wall. Additionally the bikes are off the floor without attaching to a bulky apparatus, but rather a small and simple arm that attaches anywhere on the wall taking very little space. HOWEVER I took the suggestion from another reviewer to not use the screws or anchors to hat come with the rack, and used long wood screws with bolt heads and angled the top two inward a little so as to more securely adhere onto the wall stud (2x4). There is also an adjustment for depth to the wall surface that we did not need. We stacked these above one another and even at 38 pounds for our hybrid city bikes my husband is able to hike his bike up onto his rack easily. Wonderful, wonderful racks.
