The 2005 GTO A4 had barely driven for the last 6 months when I began a diligent search for an affordable LS2 throttle body to fix a few trouble codes (low power/safety mode not very safe on the highway). . Thanks to the LS1GTO forum for giving me the confidence to try this LS3 throttle body because everyone else said they weren't electronically interchangeable. I disconnected minus. Battery, replaced the stock throttle body, reconnected the battery, cleared all historical trouble codes with a scanner, started it up and drove. Almost 200 miles later and no DTCs, no safe mode, no issues. All cheaper than a used LS2 throttle body! Update 10 August 2020 - a year later and still no compatibility issues. A few months ago I even traveled across the country. Like the new throttle response and no DTCs.
