This unit worked great, dropped and held up well. I advise against buying the cheap Chinese scanners on Amazon, I bought them and they worked for several months, they only lasted a drop or two and then stopped working and the batteries didn't last long. This device is much more expensive, but it will serve you for a very long time without any problems, and this bracket also allows you to mount it on the wall. It uses one USB cable for both power and signal, so you don't need two separate cables like you did with older scanners.
