Works as a replacement part, must be aluminum rather than galvanized steel.
I don't understand why this part is made of galvanized metal and not aluminum which would not rust. This part is definitely, damn, definitely, it just has to rust from being soaked in water a lot. If it fails, you either face a significant amount of DIY work or a support call for a replacement. Despite this, the replacement part works as intended and will continue to work until it rusts. Would give five stars if it was aluminum. The refrigerator is functional again, there are no more puddles on the floor.
