I connected it to a 24V battery. This corresponds to the inverter's input voltage range of 20.3V to 29.4V. Above 24V, the inverter can support 120VAC, but when the battery voltage drops below 24V, the output voltage will drop. At 22V from the battery the output voltage is 105VAC at a load of 500W and it starts making noise which is annoying. Depending on what I want to connect, I basically have 20% of the battery that I can't use because the voltage drops too much. Besides, it works great. I don't have an oscilloscope to see if it's a pure sine wave or not.
