Shoes are a great deal at this price. I wear them several times a day as slippers to go to the garden. The thick sole reliably protects against bumps in the ground and even thorns (I live in the desert). The upper is breathable - it's definitely not waterproof. You are not perfect. I use them barefoot and the surface is a bit uneven. The straps can be flipped forward and not used, so these are true slip-ons. If the straps are folded back, putting on and taking off the shoes becomes a little more difficult. The strap isn't adjustable, and while it still holds up, it doesn't feel strong. So 5 stars because the price is right.
