My wife and I just finished installing luxury laminate flooring and I needed to cut a lot of corners accurately which is why I bought this contour gauge. Whenever I tried it was very difficult to get a good fit because even using the release I could never get a good fit. Half slipped and the rest got stuck. It just wasn't worth the hassle, so I just came up with the old-fashioned way of measuring, cutting, and fitting. The floor turned out great and this item was thrown in a tool box and will most likely never be used again.
