Review on Kohler K 8304 K NA Universal RITE Temp Pressure Balancing by Butros Allen

Warning. The instructions are incorrect measurements. Unlike other shower valves, this valve is designed to be attached to the shower wall. It doesn't have well-placed mounting holes to securely attach it to a frame without mounting it on a wall. The instructions clearly show these holes at Ø4.5" and the drilled hole at Ø4.0". So I drilled a 4.0" diameter hole and found to my surprise that the screw holes fit nicely into this hole. It turns out that the screw holes are Ø3.5 inches apart. I'm used to bad instructions by now, especially for obscure products. But this is Kohler's premier bath/shower valve. This is one of their best selling products. I find it outrageous that these instructions were provided in this way. Kohler, I'm waiting for an explanation from you.
