Review on 🚗 Yleternal Clear Car Door Edge Guards, 16Ft Rubber Trim Molding Strip - U Shape Protector for Most Cars by Bernard Larjin

I purchased this Yleternal Car Door Edge Protector to protect my new car's door edges from damage and also to protect neighboring cars that my door might hit. The adhesive system with a red adhesive strip that can be gradually removed when attaching Edge Guard seems to work well. However, I found that the plastic guard didn't open wide enough to fit snugly against the edge of the door, and parts of it gradually slid off, creating a very uneven look. This is more evident because the adhesive is black and not clear and although it is hidden behind the edge of the door when properly placed, the black color is very noticeable when the protective cover slips off. Through research I found that the product worked well on another car with relatively thin door edges (0.110" thick) but not on my car with taller 0.150" thick door edges. I suggest checking the thickness of the edges of your door where the sheet metal folds over to see if this protection works for you. Aluminum door panels in particular are likely to be thicker than steel.
