I love these Jorgenson clips. I have a few of these in large sizes, both new and old (before they basically went bankrupt as a company and were bought by a decent Great Star company in China who revived them). To be honest, Great Star successfully makes these clips and when you compare them to two generations of older clips you can hardly tell the difference. Some of the other Pony/Jorgenson items aren't as good as they used to be, but these clips are definitely good. The pads on these are a harder plastic that still has some grip and flex, but they're not the same as the vinyl pads found on Irwin, DeWalt and many other clamps (and definitely not the soft- soft material you can find on cheap - cheap clamps under fifty brands). On my larger clamps, the pads meet very close to parallel with very little flex relative to them (which is good), but on these smaller ones, the flex is a bit more pronounced on a dozen of mine, including this new crop of 4. them are still less uncomfortable than the Irwin , which tend to only appear at the tip and therefore want to move a bit if you pinch. The insides of these little ones aren't as thick as the full size ones, but they are MUCH better than most clamps. Four thick camshafts (2 front and 2 rear) and good strong springs. Carefully pry off other brand side panels and compare. It's sad what some clips are made of. Yes, the trigger takes a little getting used to compared to others, but it works well. So far none of my head unlock buttons have broken (new or old style), but I've heard that sometimes they do. All in all, these are my favorite clips and I've stopped buying the Irwin and Bessey models in favor of this one.
