We have a floor outlet in our living room that was for an ethernet cable that we don't use. The cover was plastic and unsafe for our small children so we ordered this one. It looks great and it very strong. It is actually pretty thick cut metal and does not bend when stepped on by a 210lbs man. We also love the way it looks and ordered a matching 2 prong out cover for the power outlet that is right beside this blank cover. This looks much better than a plastic one.
