Review on Miracord Turntable Glossy Silver MRC501 GB by Sean Sitton

I like this player, I was afraid to buy it without seeing my eyes, but it turned out to be a good choice. At first I wasn't sure if the conical stylus was included so I ordered the LP Gear CARBON FIDELITY CFN3600LE stylus to replace the standard cone and all I can say is wow. This is arguably the best turntable I've ever bought in terms of music quality and scene. I thought about upgrading the cartridge before I bought it, but to put it simply, it's not necessary. The combination of the best pens made this combo great. I love it and happily buy direct from Elac for $300 on Black Friday. and at this price nothing can speak against it. I have had many turntables over the years but this is the best of them all. This offers a standard sleeve giving you options if you have more than one cartridge, switch them out and easily rebalance the arm without having to adjust the calibrations. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable performer with a history from one of the big names in Miracord Audio. Update on my review: I took this turntable a step further by replacing the cartridge with a Nagaoka MP-110 and adding an external Schiit Mani preamp. All I can say is wow. The platter makes changing cartridges easy, and the bayonet fitting allows you to purchase a pre-installed cartridge from your supplier, saving you the hassle of cartridge alignment. What matters is the music, and this player plays it without adding its own noise to the equation. I doubt I could be happier with this purchase. I'm an audiophile but cheap. I'm looking for results that matter and are valuable, like I said, music matters and that's what this player delivers. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for musical nirvana.
