As a dedicated customer I understand not to expect too much from cheap products. However, even for basic usability, they are well below the minimum threshold. The dip coating on some of these clamps was cracked and fell off when the clamps arrived and fell off the others very easily. The metal is so thin that the handles bend when you open the jaws. Don't bend, but bend, as with a change of shape. The tips of the sponges are sharp and will leave marks on all but the hardest materials, especially since the dip coating is too thin to protect your work and peels off instantly. It is also a misnomer to refer to these as 6 inch clips as spring clips are measured by their capacity and not their tip-to-tip length. It also states the maximum jaw opening, which is also misleading as you can't get something that big in your jaw. Their maximum capacity is about 1.75 inches. , but the awkward shape of the jaws means that only the edges of the jaws are in contact with the workpiece, not the tip. The biggest disappointment of all is that they weren't any less expensive than the HF and HD offerings, which actually have quality spring clips for the same price without having to buy multiple packs. These were by far the worst discount/bargain clips I've ever used so I returned them for a full refund. I hope I can help at least one person not to make the same mistake.
