People associate cost with quality, although most well-known high-end brands are made in the same factories with the same parts as "cheap". become " brands. This controller is perfect for that. I have 4 high tech tanks in different rooms so I need regulators in each room and not one big tank with a splitter. To save money I dived in and wasn't disappointed. They come very well packaged so they don't arrive damaged. Needle valves require a bit of fine tuning, but after a while you get them set right and the valve stays in place and doesn't need to be readjusted. The solenoid works great and is compatible with any electric timer. They're nice and compact so they don't add bulk to the top of your tank so they're easy to mount on a stand. There's no reason to spend twice as much on a "high-end" controller. Or accessories if you know where to look. In the next room I installed another system, I will come back to buy another one.
