I purchased a quick release roof mount to install the King Tailgater on the roof of my RV. I found it easy to install although I installed it backwards as the pre-wiring in my RV was too short to install forward. I cover the pre-wiring hole with a King cap (sold separately). I mounted the quick release with 3/4" stainless steel bolts. I then covered the bolts and any area of potential leakage with caulk. After deciding on the materials, the installation took just over half an hour. Intended use. I can take the tailgater off the roof in about a minute if i need it for other activities or if i don't have a clear satellite view when camping.I've driven the RV about 3,000 miles since installing it.The bugs on the locking mechanism face forward, no problem.
