This isn't unique to these boots. Nobody invented a way to keep these booties on your feet. I have attached them very securely and neatly as I am already aware of this problem. However, after 10 minutes of our walk in the snow, the shoes were completely lost, and after 15-20 minutes, all the shoes came off. I can't even return the faulty item because I don't have all 4 to return. The bright orange color certainly helped earn 3 out of 4 boots. However, these boots appear to be very well made and unless snow is your thing I would rate them higher. We have a very active Border Collie whose excitement and jumping certainly contributed to the loss of shoes. I believe a less active dog might do better in this shoe.
