I was very pleased with this product. I bought this for a workshop for a children's Christmas party and the children and parents loved the idea. Each child must decorate their own decoration and take it home. They were of very high quality and turned out to be very beautiful handicrafts. I left the leftovers and colored them with my children, which turned out very well. The kids at the Christmas party just used markers, which worked well, but the lines of the markers on the wood caused the ink to bleed a bit. It wouldn't stop me from doing it again as I can't imagine a mess of 50+ kids with paint but thought it was worth mentioning in case anyone else wants to use paint or a marker. They are also pretty when left in the natural color of the wood.
