Every time I checked them my phosphate also showed 0 on the Hanna checker, witch shows really low phosphate. My next step is to remove Phosguard and then check every few days that it isn't rising, then I will stop using it and just use Purigen. You can also regenerate it 10 times with 50/50 chlorox and water and then use a dressing the next day to completely remove the chlorox. This material does the job better than anything I could find on the market.
