I've tried many brands of seaweed scrapers and I usually get frustrated very quickly. I'm not a very picky aquarist, but I needed something that would actually work when cleaning my 50 gallon freshwater tank. My tank usually stays pretty clean, but this is a huge time saver. Most plastic scrapers warp or warp, leaving uneven contact with the glass. This leaves annoying streaks and I constantly skip passages or drive over a passage several times. Most scrapers with metal blades don't have a good grip, don't have replaceable blades, or are deformed. This is the first scraper I've found that actually cleans glass evenly with both plastic and metal blades in one pass with no scrubbing required. The scouring pad is also very hard-wearing. Other cleaning pads with handles are too soft to be of any use, begin to wear out after wearing, cannot be replaced, are too large to fit in the limited space of the tank, and absorb a lot of water, leaving them everywhere drip spot and take time to dry. . I don't usually take the time to write product reviews, but if you're looking for a good aquarium glass cleaning product, don't waste your money on other scrapers. I really like that all parts are detachable and easy to replace. You can easily switch from plastic to metal to pad with a few clicks. Literally 3 products in 1. It's also the first scraper I've trusted to remove very old limescale and limescale deposits on my glass and it did it with ease and did NOT scratch it. This easily removed the soft green algae-like powder on the glass, as well as some hard stains of brown and green algae. I like that it floats, wet hands get slippery. Very versatile, interchangeable, switchable and easy to use. Thank you Seachem for a great product, this purchase was worth the money. Whoever designed this has made up for all the mistakes of other tank scratchers.
