Our router is on the 2nd floor in the room we use as an office. This causes signal problems on the 1st floor near the living room and porch. Also, I recently bought Robovac, requires a 2.4G connection. But since your router isn't dual band, I can't select 2.4 or 5G. It's an automatic connection and I couldn't connect my Robovac without buying a dual band router. Spring. Turns out I just had to buy this little device for a small fee. At first I was pleasantly surprised by its small size. I installed an extension cord in my living room, with the clearest way up. I plugged it in, opened the settings on my iPhone and connected to the extender. Fast and easy. Then once connected to the 2.4g power strip, I opened my Robovac app and was able to connect! Now I can use all the functions of my Robovac. For me it was a win-win situation! Definitely recommend!
