Review on Bosch Blaze Pro GLM165-40 Laser Distance Measure with 165ft Range and Color Backlit Display by Bill Roberts

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Incredibly accurate and handy

Bosch GLM165-40 Shines in large spaces or at distances where a metal tape measure would be cumbersome. Eliminates the need for another person to hold one end of the strap. Plus, vertical measurements are as easy as "clicking" when the metal band is folded in half just before you read it. On the outside, ambient light blurs the red dot, and any shake in your hand gets worse the further you aim, you can't see it much more than 15ft, let alone 165ft, its nominal accuracy limit. However, waiting until dark and sticking to a tripod will increase the usable distance to limit squinting. It is easy to use after quickly reading the instructions. The tail light is good. The only downside is that I keep playing with it (honey, did you know the slant distance from the corner of my desk to the front right wheel of your chair is 7 feet?). Durability? I treat all precision gauges like eggs. Comes with case and destination cards. Made in Malaysia. Where is it in Germany? (Telling jokes).
