These work much better than the bar clamps I've tried before to hold joist hangers in place. My only complaint is that they are too close to the nails, which I sometimes try to hammer in, and I've broken a decent amount of the orange finish as a result. So far I haven't seen any loss of functionality. I would just like to find a version designed for double width (3") joist hangers, which is what I use.
