I used this disc player twice and the third time (to access old photos on old discs) it stopped working. Plugged it in and it worked, the light was flashing green so I put the DVD in and that was it. I had to remove the disc with a paper clip. The return window just ended so I said it's a double hockey stick let me disassemble it. The USB cable is just a mini USB cable that is plugged into the drive board and unplugged. I plugged it back in and the drive immediately started working again. On one side, under the rubber feet, there are two screws that need to be unscrewed and then just take the top off. If I didn't disassemble it I would throw it away and buy a replacement, albeit from a different brand.
