The 4 inch roller applied the paint very smoothly, would give this set 5 stars but parts of the 9 inch roller rolled down the wall along with the paint down and now the wall has a rough exterior view. I tried to figure out why the paint looked like it was crumbling on the wall by applying more paint, but the result was the same. As the paint dried, I found that due to the weight of the roller pieces, holes appeared in the applied paint and you could actually see the hair sticking out of the wall. Very disappointed I have just ordered Purdy as I have had a much better experience with their reels. I don't know what the scroll from this set is made of, but I won't be using the rest on the walls.
