Review on Enhanced 120W Docking Station by HP - A7E36 by Isaac Shankar

Works well Goes well with computers and accessories

I am using this HP docking station with an old HP 8570w laptop. Yes the laptop is old and the processor is i5 3rd generation BUT you can't beat this laptop for reliability and endurance. These Elitebooks were made so well that you can still find them refurbished and ready to go. And a B condition or better doesn't come cheap. I love that the keys fall off when typing. There are no island keys here. Just a solid business sense for them. Enough of the laptop. To the docking station. I paid a little more than I was hoping to pay but I'm glad I made the purchase. The docking station came brand new, in the original packaging, with all accessories. It works as expected, allowing me to showcase the display with a newly purchased 24-inch Asus ProArt display. I opted for a 24-inch display so that I could later mount a second one next to each other. The Asus ProArt is a 1920 x 1200 display, which is certainly better than 1900 x 1080. And I'm happy to report that my old HP Elitebook can produce a beautiful 1920 x 1200 image. The combo, including the docking station , is great works together. A downside to this dock is that it takes up a lot of space, so make sure you have a real desktop. If you plan to use multiple displays, make sure the HP docking station you purchase has the required display ports, be it HDMI, VGA, DVI, or Displayport. There are several variations of these docking stations available, so be sure to find one that suits your needs.
