I have an old HP Photosmart C5180 that has been in storage for a while. The "Clean Printhead" option in Preferences was able to restore functionality for all colors except black. After running the auto-delete function multiple times, all of the text still looked striped, which was awful as that was the main reason I wanted to use the printer again. I considered taking the printer apart (it's not easy to get to the nozzle that hits the paper with 02 ink cartridges) but remembered that I had used this product or something similar in the past and thought, I would look for it. I'm absolutely glad I did. I threw one of those pages in the page feeder, told the printer to print a "self-test" page (I thought all the jets fired but didn't overspray like a "clean printhead" did), and boom, everyone Prints afterwards were as if I had just bought the printer new. As it comes with 5 individually sealed pages I have a spare for future maintenance when I use the printer again.
