Update: I am changing my rating from three stars to four. I understand this because I am more attracted to this product than others and it told me to come back here and pick up the review. That and the price dropped from $17 to $10. The reason is that the more I use it, the more I really appreciate what I was complaining about. Yes, while those sharp tabs are too sharp to get a really deep scrape on your back or any other scrape because they may very well pierce more sensitive skin like your neck or back, sometimes that's just what you need, for example want , on the feet or on the soles of the feet. The reason it's still not five is again because the spiked band is a handle if you're trying to use the end of the hook to scratch and that makes it a bit awkward to hold. It's both a hook and blunt rather than sharp, making it feel like sliding a piece of thin wood back and forth rather than getting a good scratch. It's a bit unsatisfying and ironically the complete opposite of the other end of the stick! If they filed it just a little more into a wedge shape it might even be enough to get over the handle but those two things don't justify the five stars. _______ Initial Rating: Based on the pictures, this was a back scratcher that I was dying to have. All those juicy, scratchy lumps looked heavenly! God, how wrong I was! They're way too damn hot! They don't scratch your back so much as tear it directly. Crazy how sharp they are. and also too hard. So much so that I'm thinking of hitting them with a polishing tool or something. Think of the razor-sharp hard plastic forks running down your back, almost piercing your skin. You can't use them and vice versa because you have to grab that "scratch strip" and it's just as uncomfortable. keep it up. For real. They should have gone for hard rubber or made these goggles a bit more rounded. I mean hello If you're in a lot of pain - some are suffering - then this is for you. Me? Not as much. I *MUCH* prefer the Bear Back scraper. Much larger but perfect for the back, even on bare skin. This? Not as much.
