The quality is very good. The jaws expand and contract very well and are exactly symmetrical in opening spacing, which is ideal. The guides are VERY well bored and feel very accurate. Spacing is checked with my DeWalt bits. Pilot drill and test hole diameter measured by me with calipers: 5/16: 0.3130". 0.3780". Drill: 0.375" 7/16: 0.4375". Drill: N/A1/2: .5060" Drill: .499" Fault: One of the guide inserts had damaged threads due to poor packaging of the set of 6 guides. They came in a small thin package with no packaging. No doubt they were crushed in transit. In addition, the instrument has many side scuffs and dents (see photo) Whether this is due to poor packaging or improper handling during production is difficult to say. However, at $60, I expect the seller and/or manufacturer to put in a little more effort to avoid these unnecessary flaws.
