Most people know that when you wash your brushes, you take care to shape your brushes so the bristles don't dry out ridiculously. The bristles of the brush should bunch or bunch together. "Curly" bristles can leave marks and not perform as expected. No matter how carefully I tried, these bristles would only stay together when there was strength left in them. After removing the starch (which was added to protect the brushes during shipping) the bristles looked like someone's tousled hair on a wet day. Even in the wet, I couldn't get the stubble right.
