Review on ☕ Hario V60 Size 02 Natural Paper Coffee Filters - 100 Count by Zaine Davis

So I'm a new V60 user and bought a set of these filters. I have seen other customers complaining about fake Hario filters circulating in the market. I've seen several photos comparing real and fake that people have received. As far as I can tell the ones I received have the right look and texture of real Harios. HOWEVER, I ran into another annoying problem! The filters give off a strong sweet perfumed smell! Almost reminds me of those awful PEZ dispenser candies! I tried rinsing a filter thoroughly with boiling water, like I would before brewing a cup of coffee, only to find that the water being rinsed through the filter smelled strongly of the same weird PEZ smell! Even after rinsing several times, I continued to brew perfumed tea in my carafe! These filters are completely useless. I had to return the money. The packaging was well sealed. So I think this is a problem straight from each manufacturer! A whole bunch of bad filters may have been released! So please check these filters immediately when you buy them and don't use them if they have that smell! It will ruin your coffee and who knows what else it can do if you drink it!
