Buy them, try them, but know what to expect.

I have been using these watercolors for 2 years (not often) and I am ready to tell you everything. As an inexpensive watercolour, they serve their purpose, but there are some important tips/limitations to using each colour. The pigment and consistency are not the same for all, so I checked them one by one and included photos to illustrate my point. Cracks/chips in paint).19 Scarlet is a smooth texture and a very bright color that can be used with any amount of water with good results. 25 Gamboge Yellow is a bright yellow shade that works with any use of water but dries VERY quickly so use caution. Warning! 50 Chinese White - Slightly runny out of the tube but good enough for opaque painting purposes - dries quickly too! making it difficult to blend with other colors this works with any amount of water but dries fairly quickly.54 Carmine is in the Tube sparkling and juicy, but washes off a bit. Long distance: my favorite and most intense color ever!55 Light green is thick in the tube, opaque and needs time to dry.56 Light blue is liquid from the tube, a beautiful, muted gray-blue that dries very quickly.57 Phthalo blue - viscous from the Tube, opaque and needs a lot of color for good opacity. a tube, but lasts VERY long (almost impossible to use up)! In general, these colors are worth their price, but there is nothing to brag about. Glad I tried them but won't be buying them again - well, maybe just 54 Carmine Red if they were ever sold separately. See the photos to demonstrate the use of color and please let me know if a rating is helpful. Thanks very much!
