Works great on a cast iron block at low speeds!
I have used this on cast iron (engine block) to smooth out drilled holes and to give a bottom hole shape. This bit worked well and quickly. I used a Ryobi hand drill for this task, which only works up to 1800 rpm, so the other reviews for high-speed gizmos don't apply in my case. Seeing other reviews I also kept my finger on the shank to support it while drilling, hoping it didn't deform.
