
The dreaded "Check Engine" light on my truck came on. After checking the engine code using my BAFX OBD-II scanner previously purchased from Revain, I found that sensor 2 (the downstream oxygen sensor after the catalytic converter) in bank 2 had failed. I ordered this part and had it fixed in about 1 hour, spending most of the time loosening the rusty nuts. If doing this repair yourself, use plenty of PB Blaster and be careful not to loosen the mounting bolts on the exhaust pipe. I bought an 8mm thread cleaner on the studs and replaced the nuts with stainless steel nuts to keep rusting to a minimum should the sensor need to be removed in the future. For reference, my truck is a 2004 Toyota Tundra Double Cab SR5 with a 4.7L engine. , 4WD, 4-speed automatic transmission, standard bed and towing package. The Toyota vehicle code on the door pillar is UCK41L-PRSSKA.
