First let me say this is one of the cleaner brands being sold on Ebay. The 36in seems to be the longest it comes in and I understand why that is. I constructed two closets using this product because of its lightweight feel. It will bend more easy at the joints so consider how you place iIt or load on it. My recommendation is to scrape off the paint using a drill and wire rotary tool from the heads. The paint makes it extremely difficult to screw into any of the other pieces and I do recommend screwing them all the way to the base. After final construction it does hold well. I used a .75x3.5in board mounted to the studs (this particular home has metal studs), then I mounted the pipe to the wood.
